I’ve enjoyed a number of diverse teaching experiences, ranging from designing and teaching my own course on Maximum Likelihood Analysis in Ecology, to serving as a guest lecturer and teaching assistant for a wide range of classes at several colleges, and creating and leading educational outreach activities. Many of my experiences have been through Kellogg Biological Station’s ELME program.
I am passionate about helping students interested in biology and ecology discover the value of math and statistics. I also love the challenge of explaining mathematics in ways that make intuitive sense, through analogies, examples, and hands-on activities.
